How I Became a Therapeutic Foodie

I have been working on my own health issues for ages. Seriously compromised gut health took me to nutrition school 10 years ago. I wanted to learn for myself how to heal naturally. And to a large degree, I did! I also learned that the onus is on us to navigate the complexities of our individual health care systems – our bodies. Because conventional medicine often disappoints, and in some cases, does more harm than good.

We all have the potential to improve our health by changing what we eat. But there are a lot of hurdles to overcome – both practical and emotional. I aim to help people to surmount all of them. Your notions about nutrition and what’s healthy may be flawed. Your personal narrative gets in the way of changing. You have forgotten that delicious food is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Your busy lifestyle or lack of experience prevents you from cooking with joy or confidence. You’re exhausted and sick of trying to be perfect and need some encouragement and support….

Above all, I’m a Foodie. I live to eat. I take and teach cooking classes for the sheer joy of it, including a one-month stint in a professional French cooking school that nearly killed me. My recipes standards are high. They are purposeful and powerful nutritionally, but deeply delicious and satisfying.
